According to Wikipedia- “The CMYK color model (also known as process color, or four color) is a subtractive color model, based on the CMY color model, used in color printing, and is also used to describe the printing process itself. The abbreviation CMYK refers to the four ink plates used: cyan, magenta, yellow, and key (black).”

Join 5 of Portland’s most exciting artists Friday, August 4th for the opening reception of “CMYK: an exploration in color.” Each artist has created 4 new, large-scale works depicting their interpretation of each hue. This show will truly be a sight to behold!

By definition, “flower power is a slogan used by and associated with flower children of the 1960s and 1970s as a representative of a movement for nonviolence, passive resistance and universal love.” Studies show that flowers have immediate impact on happiness and long term positive effect on moods. Flowers create intimate connections. Flowers also have healing powers. They connect us to Mother Earth in numerous ways. What comes to mind when you hear the phrase “flower power?” Whatever the thought, we want to see it.
